Intermediate corals represent the natural next step for reef hobbyists who have successfully kept soft corals and want to upgrade to Large Polyp Stony (LPS) corals or basic Small Polyp Stony (SPS) corals. These corals require stable water parameters (especially alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium), moderate lighting, and routine dosing. Some corals worth mentioning Euphyllia corals (Torches, Hammers, Frogspawn), Duncan corals, Candy Cane corals, Montipora corals among others.
