Small Polyp Stony (SPS) corals are a type of hard coral that are known for their small polyps and calcium carbonate skeletons.. They are often admired for their vibrant colors and diverse shapes, which can range from branching to encrusting. SPS corals are also important to natural reef ecosystems, as they help build reefs and provide habitats for other marine life. Stability is key with SPS corals especially. Water quality: High-quality water with consistent parameters. Ideal water conditions include a temperature of 75–78°F, salinity of 35ppt, pH of 8.0–8.4, and alkalinity of 7–10 DKH. In addition moderate to strong water flow and good lighting is essential for long term success.
